Thank you for your interest in our Wounded Heart class.Our goal at Gateway is to offer Wounded Heart once a year either in the Fall usually beginning in early September running through early November, or in the Spring usually beginning early February running through early May.
Based on the acclaimed, groundbreaking book, The Wounded Heart: Hope for Adult Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse, our Wounded Heart class uniquely and powerfully speaks into many of the painful and often hidden issues resulting from sexual abuse, providing hope for survivors and victims of sexual abuse.*This class is NOT for friends or family or caregivers of sexually abused women. It is only for women who are victims and are currently 18 years or older.
Each week, Gateway leaders who have personally walked through abuse and healing either personally or professionally, and who have previously taken the class will help survivors of abuse address the heartache of sexual harm and better understand the complex issues related to sexual harm and trauma. Week by week, participants will learn how to recognize the impact and internal war of abuse with greater clarity, and walk the path of healing.
