Thank you for your interest in our Safe People class. Our goal at Gateway is to offer Safe People twice a year: once in the Fall usually beginning in early September running through early November, and again in the Spring usually beginning early February running through early May. **Completion of our Boundaries class is a prerequisite for enrolling in Safe People.
Safe People will give participants biblical guidance for making safe choices in their relationships whether in familial, work or social. The class will help participants recognize those who are the nurturing people that we all need in our lives, as well as, those we need to learn to avoid by:
Correcting things within that jeopardize your security
Learning the twenty traits of "unsafe" people
Recognizing what makes people untrustworthy
Avoiding unhealthy relationships
Forming positive relationships
Each week, Gateway leaders who have personally worked on boundaries issues and have previously taken the class will help participants better understand their physical, mental, spiritual and emotional boundaries. Week by week, participants will learn how to set clear boundaries that are essential to a healthy lifestyle and better relationships.
