BOUNDARIES AT GATEWAY CHURCH

Thank you for your interest in our Boundaries class. Our goal at Gateway is to offer Boundaries twice a year: once in the Fall usually beginning in early September running through early November, and again in the Spring usually beginning early February running through early May.

Some people focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limits and limitations. That’s why the ability to set clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. In relationships, boundaries define who we are and who we are not, which impacts every part of our lives. Our Boundaries class will help you answer tough questions such as:

  • Can I set limits and still be a loving person?

  • What if someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?

  • What do legitimate limits look like?

  • Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider telling someone “no”?

  • What can I do when someone wants more time, love, energy, or money than I’m comfortable giving?

Each week, Gateway leaders who have personally walked through boundaries issues and have previously taken the class will help participants better understand their physical, mental, spiritual and emotional boundaries. Week by week, participants will learn how to set clear boundaries that are essential to a healthy lifestyle and better relationships.
